Wondrous Words Wednesday-Sept. 23

Here are a couple new words that I learned while I was reading The Sari Shop Widow by Shobhan Bantwal:

Septuagenarian: [sep-choo-uh-juh-nair-ee-uhn] of the age of 70 years or between 70 and 80 years old.

Here is how septuagenarian was used on page 174:
"A safe gun-toting septuagenarian Indian is an oxymoron."

Ayurvedic: the ancient Hindu art of medicine and of prolonging life.

Here is how ayurvedic was used on page 258:
"I tried everything, including ayurvedic and homeopathic medicines," he continued.

    love the honesty. I choose alot of covers that way.

    sometimes it works othertimes oh well.

    I am reading The girl with the Dragon Tatoo-and came across some pretty unknown words last night-problem was I was under the weather and just fell asleep-did not even hear my husband come to bed. Hopefully he marked my page.

    Ayurvedic is quite a wonderful word! I have always loved septuagenarian and think it's so cool that the word age is right in the middle!
