Teaser Tuesday-Dec. 1

Check out Teaser Tuesdays from Should Be Reading.  TEASER TUESDAYS asks you to:

Grab your current read.

Let the book fall open to a random page.

Share with us two “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page.

You also need to share the title of the book that you’re getting your “teaser” from … that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you’ve given!

This week my teaser is from My Antonia by Willa Cather:
She was standing opposite me and shouting something in bohemian.  I whirled round, and there, on one of those dry gravel beds, was the biggest snake I had ever seen.

  6. I've tried to read Willa Cather several times, but her books seem so depressing - I've never been able to finish any of them. Still, that's a great teaser - makes me want to read more! Here's mine.

  16. OH COME ON! I was all excited because My Antonia is in my TBR pile for next month...or then one after that, and then I read this! I don't do snakes. No seriously, just reading that I had to put my feet on the coffee table because if they are on the floor something my get them. Something that starts with an S. Ok page 25, I will note that and just skip that page. Thanks for the warning.
