Check out Teaser Tuesdays from Should Be Reading. TEASER TUESDAYS asks you to:
Grab your current read.
Let the book fall open to a random page.
Share with us two (2) “teaser” sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12.
You also need to share the title of the book that you’re getting your “teaser” from … that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you’ve given!
Please avoid spoilers!
My teaser is from Bedlam South by Mark Grisham and David Donaldson:
"Maniacs and lunatics often beg for release," his lordship announced, in a successful effort to impress his guests. "They don't possess the cognitive capacity to understand the physiological value of Drowning Therapy."

You know, I'm not sure I'd understand the value of that therapy either. What's the setting for this book?
Drowning Therapy? That sounds intriguing! I wonder what it is...
Pompous is the nicest word I can think of for this guy. Hope you are enjoying the book.
Wow, drowning therapy? Maybe they should try some of that on "his lordship"! Great teasers.
wow that teaser is really interesting
This is a great teaser! I can't wait to read your review.
Ok, that sounds interesting...lol.
This scene takes place in an asylum and the time period is during the Civil War.
Drowning therapy? Geez. That makes lobotomies sound pleasant.
Wow! I must read this one! Great teaser.
My Teasers (both different) are up at both The Eclectic Witch Teaser #2 and Thorne's World Teaser #5
It always amazes me to learn of the "scientific methods" forced upon those already suffering in thier mind.
Drowning Therapy? Did they actually survive??
Here's my Teaser! ~ Wendi

Think I will pass on the drowning therapy and go straight to the electric shock room! Great teaser!

Wow! Drowning therapy sounds terrible! (Like anything with drowning could actually be *good* therapy!) I'm going to be reviewing this one in a few weeks, so I hope it's good.
Yikes, drowning therapy? That can't be good... Great teaser!
That's a really great teaser. I read this when it first came out, and really enjoyed it even though there were parts that I found pretty disturbing. Another great Civil War novel, if you're interested, is Two Brothers by David H. Jones. It's based on the true story of the Prentiss brothers who fought on opposite sides and is really well done with a lot of attention to historical detail.
