Teaser Tuesday-Sept. 22

Check out Teaser Tuesdays from Should Be Reading. TEASER TUESDAYS asks you to:

Grab your current read.

Let the book fall open to a random page.

Share with us two “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page.

You also need to share the title of the book that you’re getting your “teaser” from … that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you’ve given!

Three Cups of Tea by Greg Mortenson and David Oliver Relin is the next book on my list, so even though I haven't started reading it yet, here is my teaser:
He lunged toward Mortenson, grabbed the azarband, which hung outside the infidel's trousers, and tucked it inside the waistband. "It is forbidden to wear as such, " Manzoor said.

This one was considered for our university's one campus, one book promotion but it lost out to The Soloist.

I've heard a lot of good things about it though.

I thought this was a great and inspiring book once I got past the beginning setting up his life before he actually got fully into his work abroad. Your Teaser was a goodie. It highlights how easily we can offend when we're not in familiar surroundings.
