Awesome Author Challenge 2010

Alyce from At Home With Books is hosting the Awesome Author Challenge that will be running from January 1, 2010 to December 31, 2010.  Here is a chance for you to finally read some of those authors that people keep recommending to you!  I think this challenge will work well for me as you don't have to stick to a list.  I plan on starting a list, but it may change as time goes on.

I am going to select the Easy Option by selecting three authors.  Then I just need to read one book from each of these authors.

Here are the authors I am going to choose right now:

Dan Simmons--Black Hills-Completed 5/17/2010
Margaret Atwood--The Handmaid's Tale--Completed 9/21/2010
Sue Miller
Philippa Gregory
Edith Wharton

I always do better with the challenges that don't make me stick to a list. This one looks fun!

Thanks for joining the challenge! The only author from your list whose works I've read is Philippa Gregory. Good luck with the challenge!

That sounds like a great challenge - I'll have to check it out! I love all three of the authors you picked out!

I'm thinking of doing this one too! It is a great way to "force" myself to try out some authors I've never tried before. Good for you and have fun with it.

I love Edith Wharton. Do be prepared to read a work of art--Wharton literally paints a picture with words which can be slow going but worthwhile.

This one sounds like so much fun, I had to sign up, too. I forgot all about Philippa Gregory - haven't read anything by her and I've had her recommended over and over. Might have to make a little addition to my list! Enjoy your reading.
