Teaser Tuesday-Dec. 2

Check out Teaser Tuesdays from Should Be Reading.

TEASER TUESDAYS asks you to:

Grab your current read.Let the book fall open to a random page.

Share with us two (2) “teaser” sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12.

You also need to share the title of the book that you’re getting your “teaser” from … that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you’ve given!

Please avoid spoilers!

I am still reading This One is Mine by Maria Semple---I know....I am a slow reader!

There was the cell phone, the golf clubs, the 1980 Rickenbacker bass she'd had Geddy Lee sign and send her. The moment she'd purchase one of these lagniappes, hope and self-loathing would ricochet within, leaving her jumpy and demoralized.

I hope to start this one next week. I think this time of year slows a lot of us down. lol.

Don't worry about being slow. As long as it holds your interest, then stay with it. I had to put one down and move on, because I just couldn't sludge through it!

I'm glad the package reached you safely! I am not a patient person when it comes to gifts, so I will completely understand if you rip into the packages early. :)

It's ok to be slow, to be honest, I found myself rushing through last week's book just so I could have a new book this week. I still enjoyed it, but sometimes it's nice to have a book last longer... =)

That is an interesting teaser - I think everyone has those moments of self-loathing, hopefully not very often! :)

Here's my Teaser! It even includes a movie trailer for the book!

Nice teaser. And yeah, reading slow is not a problem as long as you're reading!

Thanks for visiting my blog... and laughing about our grown-up sons. to be honest, mine never noticed either. LOL
I love my bookclub... but sometimes, like you, I am a slower reader and that is the only book I get read in a month!
I'll sign up for your give-away. Thanks!

I just finished This One Is Mine...can't decide about it. I went back and forth between being kind of repulsed...and unable to stop reading. I'm interested in hearing your thoughts...
